The way your brain works is pretty complex - and fascinating. Every week we will take a closer look.

The brain is mission control to the entire human body – a virtual computer operating from within your skull, commanding every movement, every thought, every memory, and every emotion. Even while you sleep! It’s powerful. It’s bossy. It’s spongy, and it’s the most complex organ of your entire body.

The brain contains billions of teeny-tiny nerve cells called neurons that act like messengers, sending information to and from the brain and the rest of your body. It is divided into two hemispheres, or sides. It is much more complicated, but for the most part, each side works to control one half the body. The right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, and the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body. Sit back and enjoy the tour of the brain.
