This video serves as a vibrant tapestry, weaving together not only the thrilling strokes of a painting challenge but also the support from our local politicians. Their commitment stands as the testimony from our local leaders, fortifying the foundation upon which Cowichan Brain Injury Society (CBIS) builds its essential care and rehabilitation services for the remarkable survivors of brain injuries in the Cowichan Valley area. It's a harmonious partnership that breathes life into CBIS's mission, enriching the lives of survivors and fostering a community where healing knows no bounds.

Road to Recovery Ride Across Canada
On June 28, 2023 the 'Brain Twins' Wayne and Ron began their bike ride across Canada. Starting from the East Coast, their journey will take them across the nation returning to Vancouver Island. Their mission is to raise awareness and funds for the interconnected issues of mental health, homelessness, substance use, and brain injury, which affect millions of Canadians every day. These challenges are often intertwined, and addressing one can have a ripple effect on the others. . The "Road to Recovery" campaign will cover over 7,000 kilometers, connecting with communities of all sizes. Along the way, they will share powerful stories of resilience, strength, and hope, collaborate with local organizations, and raise awareness about the complex challenges faced by those grappling with mental health, homelessness, substance use, and brain injuries.
